As I newbie, I have always thought this kimd of action would do more damage than all out one day stoppages, bringing back mail, working to hours etc is bound to be more effective, plus we wold maintain public support because they would still get their mail most daysNWpostie wrote:As the title says, we have started doing the Job properly Officewide, mind I have always done that anyway from day one, it has caused chaos in the Office, Area Manager is making all sorts of threats, i.e. if everybody stops using their Cars today, then they never be allowed to use their Cars from that day on and all parking facilities will be withdrawn, we have also been warned that anyone caught using Cars will be sacked or conducted, this has only stiffened everyones back, this has only backfired on them, unsurprisingly, some staff have phoned in sick so they don't have to face the hassle,5 walks are uncovered, with lots of culls or extending, as today was heavy, I decided to extend, we need to keep this ongoing, no one breaks rank, it has to be consistent, the consequences of failure is the management licence to do as they please, its time for chickens to come home to roost, we are all fed up of being hammered and intimidated day in day out.

Extending costs them money, cutting off costs them money as well as they usually have to pay ot to get it delivered or even worse, deliver it themselves, which is nice.axeman wrote:The only reservation i see is if your doing it properly then i would not extend my hours , not that i do anyway i just cut off which as i see it causes more problems for them if you extend then they will cover it up as much as they can with bullshi*
Pressure overtime cannot be banned, the alternative is to Cull, if there is a genuine difficulty with your delivery that you cannot complete, you can request that the walk be tested asap, remember what RM said, you will work all hours paid AND no one will be expected to work beyond their hoursrogue wrote:your office should count itself lucky as all pressure overtime has been banned in our area .
if people do not complete they are questioned by managers when they return and given letters advising them if they do it again they will be taken off pay.
still good to see that royal mail dont bully delivery people

we are doing this as a WHOLE Office they cannot be everywhere at once, when its one or two they find it easy to pick on and intimidate, but not a whole Office, the power of one amplified by many, we are the Union
