What's the hourly pay rate for a full time postie and do we get paid for our meal breaks?

The basic for a full timer after the qualifying period is £8.46 but this is reduced considerably as soon as you start missing your breaks, using your own car and coming in early - the effective rate is then approximately the minimum wage of £5.73. Or put another way - you give all your paid holidays back - simples :)

my rate is £8.46 but i think its lower than usual because i take 6 weeks leave

I also take 6 weeks leave and my rate is £8.46 as well. How much more per hour does someone get that only takes 4 weeks leave?
