Changes to start times again!

Post by Fluke »

We have been told that our start and finish times are changing yet again! Some of us have been told that we will be starting weekdays at 08:00am untill 15:00pm. Our hours are being agregated over a six week period, with the 6th week being 41.5 hours. All of this is being done on the back of a revision that our union Rep has rejected and was not involved in and we have now been waiting six weeks for our local ballot to be dealt with by HQ. We have been told that revision will be brought in on Sept 1st. What the bloody hell are the PEC and CWU HQ playing at? :mad Can they just change our start times by executive action? Can they change our weekly contractual hours without agreement, even if it works out to be 40 hours over a six week period? :arrrghhh

Some offices have the 6 week thing. It works out that the 6th week you work an extra 2.5 hours as its Mon to Friday. Saturday is only a 6.5 hour day and week days 8.18.

Where do they get 40 hours from if youre doing 8am till 3pm?

So are you working a 6 day week? I work 8 hr days, for 6 days a week, and get the 6th week off. We still have a few who have a floating day off, but most of us have the 6 week rotate.
