Has anyone bought down, and was able to work indoors, sorting or prepping, for the first four hours of the day, as opposed to the 4 hours delivering?

I think the whole point of mechanisation is so part timer's just come in and take out walk's

Most 25hr contracts at my office start at 7.30 prep there walk go on a burst then come back and delivery there own walk, so end up doing 32.5 hours a week.

They do get paid the o/t they are paid for 32.5 hours but have 25 hour contracts..
The down fall is when it comes to annual leave they are only paid the contracted hours.

Ive been told that if p/t contract work on o/t for a period of three months there contract should be made up to the weekly amount of o/t they are booking i.e book 10 hrs o/t on a 25 hr contract this is then made up to a 35 hr contract as your branch rep for more info on this one thoe

yes can anyone? i have issues with colleagues and shorter contracts who work ot constantly due to rm putting them on ft jobs

Biggest prob with the system.

Been there 3.5 years, I'm 30 hours. I am the ONLY postie in the office that has doen and knows every single walk in the office and usually find myself prepping 2 to 3 frames before I leave. I leave around 10am and am refused overtime by the managers, I mean WTF.

I like being a floater but it's really grinding on me that 4 peeps have just come into the office on 30 hour contracts and have been given their own duty. Not only that but they watch me running about like a donkey and still come up to me to complain that they're busy.........sorry just on a rant but does seniority matter at all?
