Nah...they will just say its 'guaranteed next day'. And to think these used to be guaranteed before 12pm...ffs.tailfly12 wrote:Royal Mail special delivery goes out the window then. The british government wreck everything they touch.

Re: new network plans
I've said it before that RM want a 9-5 (or even a 10-6) job including Saturdays but I think this really depends on them getting the sequencing machines to work the way they hope.

Re: new network plans
Would suit me really, having afternoons to yourself is long gone anyway so may as well have 'normal' hours. Plus, if 9-5 including Saturdays does come in, it'll surely only be a matter of time before the USO is totally out of the window and we stop delivering on Saturdays. Long weekend every weekend, can't wait!!!

yeah nice one!!!! unless you are a sub and hence no longer needed
5 day delivery would mean MASSIVE job cuts but hey that doesn't matter as long as we get a 2 day weekend does it

Re: new network plans
if that is true and im not doubting it ,where is the innovation ?managerial excellence to try and get new contracts?im certain that with our network we could associate with major retailers(large and small) ans distribute their stock we do after all have an extensive network.this is one thing that i really dont understand that managers are being rewarded for giving less of a service.plus its creating a large opening for other companies to exploit .

Won t happen................ too much agro from us. One thing management know is that Saturdays afternoons are very important to people. What they going to do repay everyone's season ticket. This would f**k off too many people. Business etc. Cannot see it happening. Anyways wheres the proof.
