Sick Of this job after 1 year

Post by FLUFFY »

I have never worked for a company like this is my life. Was so pleased to get the job now I hate it.

I dont hate the hard work, long walks, heavy bags, knackered old bikes, weather, flats, d2d etc etc

Its the Bullshite.Like being told mail is down, watching doms sit on their arses all morning, knowing doms leave way before their time everyday. Hearing that F/T are being forced out or sacked over the most trivial things,no pay rise for us,huge bonuses for doms

If I was spoken too like a grown up and not some dummy that has no idea whats going on and paid overtime that is still owing to me after 2 weeks that would be a step in the right direction. we cant even find the dockets in our office and if you dare ask you are looked at like some kind of alien. So now I have to pop into the office tomorrow and ask why my O/T has not been paid again. No doubt I shall be looked at like a naughty 5 year old and fed more bullshite from the dom thats glued to the seat in his office. Why is everything a battle with RM.

Sorry Rant over but this job is really starting to stress me out

If you are having probs being paid your ot speak to your union rep thats what we did in our office and all of a sudden after area intervening things are better. not perfect but better. And when you get your ballot paper vote YES. If you are in the union of course.

If you're not getting paid O/T then don't do it. Work your contractual hours and then go home.

Completing deliveries is a thing of the past now, this is not part of the job, you work the hours you are paid for and thats it, if you complete great, if you don't then great, you go home after working the hours paid for.

There is no argument to this.

They don't seem to realise that no-one will want to do the job by the time they've finished 'modernising' our duties :arrrghhh

I think they are counting on people being desperate for any job because of the economic recession.
RM Management don't seem to think long term. Probably because they expect RM to be privatised in the future.

Have still not been paid the O/T owing to me..Spoke to a few of the guys at DO and they said I`ll be lucky to get it !! Going to wait and see this week if its there if not..Im going to unleash hell.

Dont get this firm.. a poxy few hours O/T and Ive got to fight for it.The DOM was so vague about it when I bought it up again during the week..Not sure what my next step is if its not in this weeks pay any suggestions would be helpful..

I am off now for 2 weeks then due back to usual DO was considering going sick with stress if this is not sorted out.Truth is i am bloody stressed

Sorry but the begining of your post made me laugh. Keep standing up for your rights mate there are too many guys in our DO who are willing to come in early and work for nothing to prevent the need for them to keep having to go see the management to beg for OT. This isn't a f***ing charity it's meant to be a buisness.

One word of warning about 'raising hell'. They might be wanting you to do just that so they can get you on a disciplinary charge - then they have you by the balls cause they can sack you for a further offence. SO STAY CALM AT ALL TIMES. If you need to take some anger out smash up your shitty bike or do a dirty protest in the toilets. DON"T GIVE THEM ANYTHING THEY CAN GET YOU ON A CHARGE ABOUT. But DO tell them they are totally out of order.
