Simple question should money made from one company in RM Group be used to subsidise another, especially in terms of pay?

Should wages be determined by the accounts of each individual part of RM group or the RM group as a whole?

That's exactly what used to happen, back when Streamline used to be a separate entity. They used to use the profits from Streamline, to subsidise Stamp Prices. That was how we could afford cheaper Stamps, but 2 Deliveries per day.

First they merged us with Logistics (we all come under Logistics now). Then they let the Competition go for this profitable work. And now we're in the s**t!

We do that now, we deliver parcelforce parcels. And they get paid for it.
Thats why parcelforce is in profit now.

If government and RM had done its job properly in supporting, funding and modernising the business years ago, there would be no need for the frenzied approach now adopted to keep afloat let alone build for the future needs of customers.

losses made as a result of performing public service aspects of our operating licence should be removed from our accounts, ie USO and post office counters. It's contadictry to say you must carry out operations which are loss making, but then have acting commercial (including thoses losses) as the bottom line when discussing pay, pensions and terms and conditions.

public service or commercial company. Govt needs to decide. As a public service, losses are inevitable. As a company, we decide dsa prices, stamp prices etc as we see fit. A public service with a regulator that f@cks us over!Stop subbing labour. And those mps who signed the edm. They put the bullet in the chamber but would they have pulled the trigger at crunchtime
