Manager standing guard on the picket line?

Just been told today that one of our managers is going to be standing on the picket line - not as part of the picket but to keep a watch on things I think. Are there any rulings on that one?

Pity you can't get the press to quietly take a photo when you are all chatting together and then point out to the photographer "look even local management support us". See how long his career lasts then.

Left work late this afternoon and walked past the conference room as the door opened,i could see a load of managers filing out all with folders under their arms,it turns out it was a war plan meeting for the strike day,all been given their instructions by the area manager.The last time they went out two per van with the specials.

No doubt two will be in the gatehouse watching the pickets behave themselves.I also believe RM will be stumping up for the food and teas ect as well.

No doubt you will get a token visit from the local bobby who is checking on public order - when he arrives explain that you have been sticking to the rules about the number allowed on the line in order to comply with legislation but that some dipstick keeps joining the line and threatening trouble - he should be removed pdq

I sincerely hope our manager will be running about like a headless chicken! Hey Rhino49 we're very unlucky at our office as we're right next to the bobbies station.... too close for comfort! And to make things worse, our dopey dum even let them use our car park.......(don't suppose they check our private vehicles for defects do they?). Been told also by rep, that managers may been going out to offices and filming pickets (sneaky little Bastards).....I have my camers at the ready...... SMILE PLEASE!!!!!

same here went upstairs yesterday before going out on my round and there was a load of managers discussing there war plan
manager told me :lfo :cfo has a top secret plan which they wouldnt announce until the strike day as they didnt want it leaked out

anybody here know more

one of our screws said they will be on their checking we aint abusing the scum they have also layed on a pick up service for them too but we wont let the bastards grind us down all our boys are right up for this strike it was a fight to get on the early picket but im there i want to see those w*****s coming in and give them evil stares and what not

We're doing two shifts in our office, starting at 4.30 and finishing at 12noon. We have plenty of food and drink, and we have morale by the bucket load! BRING IT ON!!!!

I'm on the picket (officially) from 07:30 - 10:30, we're doing 3 hour shifts to support the reps longer ones. Most of the guys will visit during the day but we have been told there is nobody coming in but a manager to hand over British Gas parts for safety work and our cleaner - looks like Sale is going to score 100% for the good guys. A customer (not one of mine) stopped me on the way home and said "I hope you lads have a good rest tomorrow, everybody I have spoken to supports you" I am sure those words will be echoed around the country by OUR public.
