Lack of d2ds
Has any other area noticed a significant drop in there d2ds,over the last couple of months were averaging 2 a week ,this week none .considering a few months ago royal mail were muting five a week and the union saying d2d was the way to keep full time jobs seems a bit strange
I no a lot of us hate doing them but to me its an easy 30 quid to have a goodnight out with.

Still getting 3 a week on my walk although others are on only 2. Part of our area is being targeted by a weekly Somerfield supermarket promotion right through the summer.
I have noticed independent leafletters out every day when I'm on delivery and they are working in teams and yes - you've guessed it - leaving red elastic bands everywhere

Not had a week on none ever (apart from Christmas) although average is fairly low at the moment with 1 or 2 being normal and 3 rare.

Re: Lack of d2ds
Our office is really low on D2D at moment one last week and so far none this week but to be honest it's quite common that they don't show up till wednesday and then you're hassled to get them done.
Perhaps I'm being a bit paraniod but do you think the drop in D2d is due to us being on strike recently ?
ie cut our wages so we'll maybe think again before going out on another strike ?

Re: Lack of d2ds
Since January I have always had three D2D's except on 2 occasions. On those 2 occasions it was down to two, never one or none.

Re: Lack of d2ds
Perhaps we need to see where the D2d are light
are we light in areas that have or are taking a ballot on action or already on strike.
As we deliver a lot of D2D crap for TNT have they finally put thier own delivery teams out in certain areas ? I kept gettting told RM were turning customers away as we can only do 3 per week so where are all these companies now ?
Is the recession hitting us ?
Today mail was really light infact it was mostly Sky magazines and BT crap, if I didn't have those items my call rate would have been about 10 -15% today. Did have 18 recordeds though !!!

Re: Lack of d2ds
None this week or last week, in fact of the whole office only about 7 walks have had them the last 2 weeks.
And definitely none for the following 2 weeks as im on summer leave from the hot-dog stand.
