PDA MESSAGE

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

Did anyone else get a message on their PDA purporting to be from someone official. It said from memory - Because of what happened at NIMC all PDA users will now be tracked and the information stored.

If you sent it some of the drivers at my office and apparently in surrounding DOs then well done, it worked they all did the job properly today - bags and all. :Very Happy

Nothing as far as I know - I suspect it was a wind up.

Think it "arrives" only when you log on with your own username, ie someone that does not log on until the 31st December for example would only get the message then

I have sent messages to individual users about local work issues from our PC in the locker, but if you press send to the wrong group it will end up with everyone in the country getting it!!!!!!

One of our chaps got a message today on the lines of "Due to the downturn in mail volumes could you let us know the unused hours you have accumulated this week" .

Unfortunately he deleted the message and did not see where it came from.

NIMC is the Northern Ireland Mail Centre and there was an incident there on Friday night which caused mail not being processed through for delivery on Saturday, which made the Saturday a light day, We all got the message from 'Jack' about this and to remember to book our 'undertime' :hmmmm :chuckle :chuckle

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I can't understand why this message has been sent nationwide, 'Jack' needs to learn how to use the messaging facility on the PDAs. :chuckle :chuckle

That's right, we were told there was a bomb scare in Mallusk, which is why the mail was light on Saturday. Were also told we were going to be very busy Monday as a consequence. Monday just seemed to be a normal day so don't know where all this mail went to!

Funny we got the message on Monday morning instead of Saturday, which would have been more appropriate!
