Reserve posties

Post by jessthecat »

Hi, i'm a reserve, and am constantly asking my dom what duty will I be covering next week, and when is my day off? This happens most weeks, as he doesn't put the list up until the thursday before.
I've asked him why he can't do the rotas earlier, and he says ' because someone might go sick, and it'll change'.
What i'd like to know is, is this normal procedures in other offices, or when do you know what duty you'll be on the following week.

Cheers all.

In our office they only put the rotas for reserves duties up on a Friday...then normally your day off will be whatever that dutys day off is...subject to change by the Dom though...this has happened to me in the past, and the worst of all is when you are classed as spare and on a different duty every day then they will give you Tuesday off guaranteed as it's the easiest day.

Mine puts up the list just before he leaves the office on a Saturday morning, he decides on what day you'll have off (but that can change at very very short notice).

And please please please rem people, your day off is the one the duty has that you are covering.

Not what the dom wants, they can't change the day off of a duty to suit them!!
