Re: picket line
I would echo sovietonions' point as loud as I can.
I will amend the posts I see but just a quick reminder to everyone that during the 2007 strikes members of RMC were disciplined and in some cases sacked for what they posted on here so be careful what you say.
Just to be sure I have amended the "word Mask" feature on here so that the word "S.C.A.B" changes to Strike Breaker - Never liked Sausage Chips and Beans anyway

Re: picket line
have to admit the SWP ar often very nice people, even though a little bit mad :P the one that came to our office today, lives near the office and helped out hand more leaflets than our combined effort
crossing the road and stopping literally every passer-by. they should stop trying to sell those news papers though

Re: picket line
yeah be careful with the strike breakers they are not nice. In 2007 i ended up on a B & H charge for allegedly shouting "scab" at one - something I didn't do and was subsequently exonereated (surprisingly) but it took 8 months to resolve the issue and RM wonder why I hate them with a passion. As for managers working, my understanding is that they come in from all over the country. they have their fares paid are put up in travel lodges and are given a tenner to buy a meal. plus the extra pay I suppose.

Re: picket line
When we had nearly 50% of the office go in, we on the Pickett line just stood and watched them, all the verbal came from the people walking over the line, even when the manager was out watching and had to step in.
We also had a laugh at how the were trying to sneak in, by lying down on the back seats etc, even had a couple try to disguise themselves :) then we watched them go out, which was very entertaining, as they wouldn't look at us, and many a near miss resulted, of course you had a few mad 'uns who screeched out and tried rolling the van over when going round the corner.
Even had few few try and complain because we wouldn't talk to them, still don't in many cases. Just hope the money and free cakes were worth it, of course they happen to be some of the loudest moaners now.
