Yes.
If you just put the results, but omitted the comments. Then the only people who should be able to work out where they're from. Are Posties from the same Office, and Employees of TNS.
I know that, that doesn't make it entirely annonymous. But it's the best I can come up with.

Re: have your say results 2009
Better still ,tell them to stick it. If they can't honour national agreements that they signed up to ,or pension promises the made on hiring you ,why participate in a company whitewash scam. Don't give them a figleaf ,because you know ,whatever you say ,the spin masters will twist it to make it look like they are the worlds most caring employer with the worlds best rewarded and happiest workforce. Bit tricky for them with a 1% response rate. Why do you think your Dom insists you fill and hand it in at WTLL?
If your worried about consequences ( by the way ,any form of coercion involved in any sort of survey would "normally" invalidate all results) just pretend to do it ,then seal it up

Re: have your say results 2009
Afraid that I am of the thought that in their original concept and introduction, these have your say surveys were to be completed on a voluntary basis only. Am I wrong?

Re: have your say results 2009
Not neccessarily: Our last HYS went very badly. so we had a "mini have your say", on the worst bits, shortly afterwards. So that they could guage whether there'd been any improvement. There was very little. So we had a second "mini HYS", again on the same points. Guess what?BELIAL wrote:Better still ,tell them to stick it. Still only very slight improvement.
Now, we've just done the curent HYS (last week). I'm expecting it to be worse than the last one. So what will happen?
Will they give us several more mini ones?
Will they bring someone in, to sort out the ones responsible for the bad state of affairs?
Who knows?
But it just goes to show, that the Spin Doctors, can't always sort out the results.
To be fair: The problems, aren't across the board. They're in quite specific areas. But they're getting worse IMHO, not better. But we'll see, when they release the results.
And remember: Brothermagrew is right. There's no obligation to fill them in. In fact, several of my Collegues have refused to do them. Although, it must be causing problems fo the Managers. As they took a register of who'd completed them, and put the names into a draw, to win some money. I'm not too sure how much. Because it's not really relevant. I wanted to fill mine in, so it didn't really matter too much.

Re: have your say results 2009
Think you might have made my point for me Andy, Why take a register of completion for a process that MUST be absolutely anonymous to be valid. Any form of perceived or real compulsion or any form of identification involved in a research project would automatically invalidate any results according to the internationally recognised rules of the MRS ,ask bertie wooster
Certain inducements are permitted but they must be neither excessive nor conditional

Re: have your say results 2009
They only take a register of who's filled one in. It's up to you, whether you hand it in at the time, post it later, or chuck it in the bin, after you leave the room. Although I'd take a very dim view of anyone who did the latter. Because that's the sort of dishonest attitude that we've been fighting from the Government, and high level RM management for years. Please don't descend to their level.

Certainly. But it might still be possible for someone to work out which Office it's from.linkinpark wrote:Can we not PM it to a moderator for annonymous posting?

Thats the point , its a survey ,fill it in ,don't fill it in , all valid results .Any form of recording compliance corrupts the survey.andy2007 wrote:They only take a register of who's filled one in. As far as I can see not one poster in this thread has promoted any form of dishonesty ,so where are you Andy getting this lowering of standards from ?
I assumed that as a moderator you would at least read what's posted, god knows there's enough uncle Toms out there already without having another one with his finger on the edit button

Re: have your say results 2009
It's the bit highlighted in green I was referring to. It is of course an option, for someone who wanted to be entered in the draw, without actually participating in the survey. But as I said: If anyone actually did that (not that I know of anyone who has), it would be dishonest.BELIAL wrote:Thats the point , its a survey ,fill it in ,don't fill it in , all valid results .Any form of recording compliance corrupts the survey.andy2007 wrote:They only take a register of who's filled one in. I wasn't suggesting that anyone was promoting dishonesty. But I was saying that if anyone took that option, as a serious suggestion. It would be dishonest. I only mentioned it as the Managers have no way of knowing whether anyone actually did that. So there's not really any point in taking the register in the first place.
Sorry if I gave the impression that I was accusing anyone of promoting dishonesty.

No problem Andy .I see what you mean now
I still find it very difficult to believe
What you are telling me ,is that some offices actually receive a financial inducement in return for completing the HYS survey

Re: have your say results 2009
Well, there's a chance of a financial reward, anyway. They put your name into a draw. But it does show just how desperate they must be, to get a decent number of them filled in. Presumably, they must have got into trouble for the poor responses in the past.
This is the second time, they've had the draw.

You're right there!
Yes. If there was more notice taken of the HYS results as a whole, rather than just the bits which trigger a Warning. They wouldn't need to bribe us.
That's what happened in our last one. Aparently, if the response to a particular question is too negative. The Managers recieve a Warning from TNS. And are obliged to try to fix the situation, and you get a "mini have your say", to see if there's been any improvement. If there isn't enough improvement, they have to do the same again. We still haven't got our "problem areas" out of the "Warning" band. So it will be interesting to see what happens this time.
Believe it or not: They can get one of these Warnings, for not having enough responses. Hence the draw.
