early shift allowance stopped

Im off sick, about 6 weeks now, and they have suspended my allowances,(early shift allowance) im about a tenner short in wages.

Im not too bothered, but can they do this, ive never had a lengthy absence in all my years at royal mail.But this might make me be off even longer, depression and all that

Since all the changes in our office we've had alot of sick and injured postmen recently...........Wonder why eh

Could be worse you coud be on statutory sick pay like me.

your allowances are stopped once you have been sick for 8 week's. once you resume back on to your duty they start up agagin.

Allowances are the least of your worries. Iv'e heard they are stopping payments altogether for some not just the allowances.
