Any Offices with Delivery Spans over 3.5 hours

I read in various places that a number of offices have agreed delivery spans over 3.5 hours. This is presumably where there is walk sequencing coming in.

Does anybody have any information or copies of agreements.

Are there many offices doing this.

Also is this the line being adopted nationally by headquarters.

we have just had a revision where the delivery span is 4.15. All packets and specials to be taken by drivers and all deliveries except rurals and firms are van share. No private car usage allowed. Other offices in the area are either had a pegasus revision or will get one soon. If we had not co-operated executive action would have been taken by RM so its better to get some input than none at all. Some of the deliveries are too large and go over the finishing time. The older staff are finding the job hard to do now.

The town duties in my office are 'planned' to be 3½ hours but in reality are nearer to 4 hours and the 4¼ hours van share duties are more 6 hours but according to management everything is just fine.

Our office has delivery spans of 4.5hrs. People still comimg in early, using their cars, running round. Others mostly the older ones are cutting off but getting hard time from management. Most off the walks are fecked. Van share lasted about four weeks. Union advised us at the time to agree to it, I thought cwu were meant to represent us not management???????????????

Madness and H & S illegal.

Had an incredibly hot day on the streets today - (ok, yesterday!)

It really reached the limits of physical capacity of a human being today, as it does in sub-zero temperatures with snow and 3 1/2 hours out delivering on the streets in the pissing rain.

3.5 hours on the road is bloody hard - anything above that needs to be risk assessed, legally challenged and NOT accepted by CWU members. Your call people!
