Whats the procedure?

Post by Lenny honeyball »

My child is ill, and I have to look after her for a couple of days, as my wife cant take the time off.

I seem to recall (cant remember excatly hence this thread) that RM will allow you 1 day a year off with pay to look after your child, when your child is ill?!?!

Any help/advice appreciated.

Take the time off and look after the bairn first, worry about RM after the event.

They wont touch you anyway.

Special leave is granted as (A) (B) and (C) ask your rep this is the good bit in being in the union as they can fight for your rights without having to post to all on the net!.

Had 2 take a day off last week as my daughter was in hospital .rang the office first thing in the morning just to let them no what was going on .Went in next day and dom was very understanding told me the day would be paid as special leave.
Although to be honest after reading a few threads on here he does seem to be one of the more human managers
