I've always filled in the time myself, I just ask the customer to print and sign their name in the relevent box, it's the way I was 'trained ' to do it.

With the way things are now, I'd think that the first mistake will end up as a conduct issue.

We have also been briefed about delivery cards being completed properly in our office although we haven't been threatened with the conduct code...we also no longer take out any specials, these all now go with the van drivers to ensure they make the 9am/1pm deadlines.

I quite often forget to put the time down, but then i just write the approximate time of any I missed before I hand my card into the locker when i get back. That's usually before 1pm anyway so it doesn't really matter... Does it?

Yes! I hate specials. Drivers will be happy. NOT.

They'll need more drivers then for my office. We have got at least 20 yorks of undelivered packets, been backing up for months. You know RM, instead of getting the drivers to do them, they put them on walks, or the latest, delivering timed bags for all the walkers, no safe drops to be used.
Ah, good old management initiatives. Oh, and we've not to tell the public that Auntie Joan's Christmas pressie is probably still in the back log.

Only the drivers use them at our place thank god.

We had a breifing today by our DIM regarding delivery card times .He has been told that everyone now must have a time entered for each item signed for whether or not the customer enters the time or we make it up ourselves. If we fail to get a time we first will get a warning then after that we will be taken down the conduct code as R/M ( in his words)have been told by postcomm that they dont believe we are hitting are targets getting items signed for on time, and they believe R/M are giving them fictious figures ( are we not at 98/99% on target for our signed items).He did also mumble about signatures and times being in black and not blue ink or we would be taken down the conduct code but he didnt press on this one so i shall carry on using blue.

I think your dim has been audited, and has probably not reached his targets.

Funny thing is that when ever we have a team brief and the dom talks about do this properly or else, it happens for so long then its back to square one again!

Anyway we have been told to put the little strip sticker WITHIN the little box, don't overlap the lines, make sure it's straight. or else.

To be fair, the scanners probably can't scan blue and therefore can't get a copy of the signature. I know we had this issue when I used to work for a bookmakers that scanned bets. You could barely see the blue and red doesn't come out at all.
