Poll:How far do you travel to work
Just a general question on how far you have to travel to get to work, I travel around 8 miles but I so on here someone traveling 40 miles to get to work and wonder how they can afford it with the price of petrol/diesel.

Re: How far do you travel to work
There seems to be a few people travelling over 5 miles to get to work, wonder if they work at the do in there home town, or travel to another do in a different town as I do.

how much does that cost you a week, thats 400 miles commuting which in my car would cost around £50.00.johnnyp wrote:Just under 80 mile round tripIm not the only one though theres 2 others who do the same (we all work in London but live in the South East)and 1 other guy whos even further South West London to Portsmouth

Yeah i do. I always lived in my delivery town until a few years ago and "oh boy" when we went on strike
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Re: Poll:How far do you travel to work
1.5 miles to the office on the company bike - 150 yards to my front door when I finish my walk - it's adjacent to the one I live on and all the guys on walks around it are pro's so I get no hassle. If I have to pouch off packets at a TSO it's only 500 yards away so I put up with having a heavy oversize walk for the other (to my mind) greater conveniences.
We wish to serve - but we will not be servile
