There seems to be a few people travelling over 5 miles to get to work, wonder if they work at the do in there home town, or travel to another do in a different town as I do.

how much does that cost you a week, thats 400 miles commuting which in my car would cost around £50.00.

Yeah i do. I always lived in my delivery town until a few years ago and "oh boy" when we went on strike  It was really bad in the 88/89 strikes with people knocking on my door in the evening asking me how they were going to get there mail etc. Also late missing packets with friends can be a problem if you work in the local delivery office. Now i just say "sorry dont work there" job done :nana
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

1.5 miles to the office on the company bike - 150 yards to my front door when I finish my walk - it's adjacent to the one I live on and all the guys on walks around it are pro's so I get no hassle. If I have to pouch off packets at a TSO it's only 500 yards away so I put up with having a heavy oversize walk for the other (to my mind) greater conveniences.
