Bonus?
Can anyone tell me if all our bonuses have now finished? The office 50/50 and the £400 one? We have been arguing with our gaffers that there's nothing in the revisions for us except longer deliveries and a heavier workload, He reckons we still get a bonus?

Re: Bonus?
All the ones such as 50/50, share in savings and any linked to the Pay and Mod agreement have all finished.
The only likely one is when the colleague/shares mature in about 3 or 4 years time. AFAIK there is no expectation of any dividends before then but I suppose its possible there would be one at some time.

On 17 May 2007 the Group introduced a phantom share scheme, ColleagueShares; all associated costs for the year have been treated as
an operating exceptional item. The value of ColleagueShares is based on a Group share plan valuation model which is updated regularly.
This has generated a discounted charge to the income statement of £116m for 2007-08. Fully eligible employees have been allocated
408 notional shares in the Company with part time staff holding a proportion of this amount. Further allocations will be made over the
next two years. ColleagueShares will be sold back to the Company by 2012 and each fully eligible employee has the opportunity to receive
up to £3,700 from the sale of the phantom shares. A related stakeholder dividend for the year totalling £161m represents a payment of
up to £800 to each eligible employee in recognition of meeting certain Group and business unit targets. This is payable in 2008-09.

Re: Bonus?
Royal Mail`s policy is no longer pay for change. This is an essential part of the current dispute. So if you make savings there is no bonus for staff.
Only managers will recieve a bonus of 10% of their wages if they achieve budget and Q of S figures.

With all that is happening in the M/C's, managers will be sure to achieve their Q of S figures then.dingo wrote:Royal Mail`s policy is no longer pay for change. This is an essential part of the current dispute. So if you make savings there is no bonus for staff.
