Nationwide Bank Voting Letters

Post by Oh no its raining »

Grrrrrr Grrrrrr and f*cking Grrrr, did any one else get hammered by these today, I had 3 mech trays full of them, aparrently they are some sort of customer voting effort for the Nationwide bank, they were exactly like a heavy D2D e.g everest windows and doors jallopy but 2nd class walksort, in total I had 792 of em, every bloody door except for 5. Absolutly the worst Tuesday I have ever experienced, and other posties were going crazy at managers too cos they were expecting a light run with early finish. If you've not had em yet, beware they are coming :evil/mad

Went into today and the office was heaving with them  We were given two days by our dom to clear them, nice :left:
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

We got really hammered today. had the Nationwide voting things and also another bulk posting sent out by our local council to all occupants over the age of 18(some houses had 5 or 6 of these).
So this morning i walked in to 3 trays and 5 coded bundles and then the 2nd wagon dropped off another couple of trays and bundles for me along with all the normal mail for us to sort. Luckily i had very few packets but still had to make up 9 bags .This might not sound a lot but i was covering the training walk (whch is the smallest) in our office on my rest day
Management said it all had to go today as we had a really light day Tuesday

These items arrived at the Mail Centre walk sorted. They went through the IMPs and put into batches. They were delivered to our DO last night for sequencing.Because of the sheer bulk of the posting, about 3 times the mail of a normal Tuesday night/Wednesday morning we had to walk sort the items on the sequencing machines.Walk sorting takes about a third of the time it takes to sequence.
So after starting off as walk sorted, going through 2 machines and 10 hours work this mail ended up ---- walk sorted !!!!!

You couldn't make it up !!!!!

Ours turned up this morning, after I tied up! Apparently we've been given 2 days to do them in.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
