Yesterday 3pm.........saw a postie with half a dozen empty pouches and 2 panniers on his bike going into Sainsburys, I ask him WTF he was doing ?
He just replied 'feckin overtime'!

Did he mean delivery overtime or D2D's perhaps ?. I ve known people in our place who cover other walks D2D,s to work on a Sunday

i have known deliveries on a sunday on o/t but that was back in the 1990's when the office had staffing problems

I have known a postie 'not cope' on a Saturday and allegedly take the mail home and complete on Sunday. Like to add though that this was not confirmed as I was not the one who spotted him.

a postie that i floated on his duty has done this many times;took a bag home and delivered it on his day off the next day,i know this as many people have commented "this is the second lot today,have we gone back to 2 deliveries?" also he was seen by a manager at 8.00 in mornin delivering and when checked out, it was his day off,give them some bull#### tale bout family emergency and had to go home so he got away with it,was called into office about it and came away with a bag off that day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
