Well we know one thing for sure DOMs can't get a heart transplant.You have to have one to start with.

RM claim that health and safety have improved, there are less days now lost to sickness than there used to be. We had a postwoman who was going into hospital to heave a breast lump removed. The day before her operation, the so-called 'manager' asked her to work overtime. She replied that she wanted to get home and spend the rest of the day with her son as she wouldn't see him for a couple of days. The piece of crap replied "If you take the walk out, it will take your mind off the operation!"

You're right there! The statistics don't even add up, most of the time. We've been told recently, that a particular RDC, has an exceptional safety record. Because there hasn't been an accident there in 2 years. How is that possible?Are they failing to report accidents?
Was there a typo in the statistics?
Are they just making things up for our "pep talks"?

That happened to a work colleague, quite a few years ago, he asked for time off to attend his mother in law funeral, he was told he can work the morning and then go in the afternoon, his response was to go sick and stay sick for 1 week, thats his way of giving him the finger.

Oh and just to answer the thread, my old DOM and Lino total wasters!!! Never told the truth, bully staff and try to make it out its all in your head!!! They will get their turn,, that they can be sure off!!!

I ve worked for some who were good and quite a few who were poor and one who was a real B******D.
About 10 years back one of our posties suddenly got really bad chest pains as he was bagging up and looked terrible, pale and sick. By the time the ambulance arrived he was having trouble breathing (i was crapping myself thinking he was going to die) the paramedic was trying to fit an oxygen mask and the damn DOM was in the way going through the poor sods pockets trying to find his drop box keys The paramedic had to get really strong with him to get him out the way so they could get him in the ambulance but the fool did not stop till he found the stupid keys 
. I could not believe it
Thankfully it was only a mild heart attack and iam still working two frames down from the man today.
