My Cheque from RM has just cleared.

Post by whitemoor66 »

I have the money from my unpaid overtime, I have pay in leiu for my annual leave from my one hour contract. Go and get out there boys and girls! Grab it! It's yours.
I must firstly thank the RM for providing the two most incompetent managers (or people) to have ever crossed me.
Secondly, I would like to thank Eversheds for providing the the most incompetent "Tim nice but Dim" breif I have ever come across. He made my 5 O'levels look quite good against the qualifications that he has obtained through having the right school tie. His suit looked quite good though. Thirdly, I would like to thank my partner for the support that my partner has given me in the last year, but I don't like the term, "Partner" because it all sounds a bit Elton John to me.
Finally, I would like to thank my mum and dad, without whom, none of this would be possible.

PS Tony and Rachel, I hope God forgives you for the misuse of the bible on the 22nd of May.

PPS I am fully aware that Eversheds and RM managers pose as blueshirts on this site.

PPPS I had no support from the CWU, perhaps you lot have to think about asking the CWU questions, rather than pissing and moaning on this site.

Good for you mate, well done, I am fortunate enough to have a 40 hour contract, but I know theres a couple of young lads at our place on one hour contracts and they are pi55ed about terribly never knowing what hours they will get from week to week. I hope your action in winning your tribunal helps them in some ways, as for your comments about the CWU,well, I resigned from them 6 months ago, all wind and pi55 from my experience.

Good luck in your new chosen work. :wave

Yes, but it shouldn't be. This should be opening the floodgates, for to CWU to claim this money back, for every affected Employee.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

agree - those idiots picked on the wrong person , couldn't happen to nicer people , the sort of organization that would make cardboard submarines . Some of RM's Senior & Area Managers would be better off in North Korea going by their mentality .

Sounds too much like the outlawed Zero Hours contracts that McDonald's tried on in the 90's , RM do have a reputation of operating at the legal limit at best and their Senior & Area Managers are known for putting perverse interpretations on things .

Goes completely against EEC working time regulations , that was part of the Social Chapter of Maastricht ; that the Tories got stopped but New Labour brought in ( more to do with the EEC Socialist Group than Tony , McRuin , :mfo & Co ) , I actually went to the New Labour Meeting where the Glaswegian Dwarf McCartney ( famous for the crockery , cutlery and champagne glasses at the tax payers expense ) was the speaker .

A dishonest , decietful , underhand & :d'oh! backward firm stuck in the spivvy late 80's and early nineties at best but with a 70's style of management . Keystone Cops stuff as per usual :no no :d'oh!

This comment was made by my DOM to me this morning " a couple of weeks ago we all had e-mails saying that one hour contracts had to go", so looks as if RM are taking notice of this decision. :Applause

Do you know anymore?
I have written for the reasoning behind my judgement to the ET and my letter has been acknowledged about just over a week ago, as soon as I get it, I will post it on here.
Has there been any reaction from the CWU either locally or nationally, bearing in mind that they seemed ignorant or wanted to duck the issue of one hour contracts whilst I was a postie?

RM have always worked that way , treat 'em mean , keep 'em keen , people have been cassies for 18 months , that only stopped with EEC working time regulations
