grrr ebay again

Post by johnsouthwales »

shirt i ordered has gone missing.. well, not missing cos it's impossible for something to be missing, its around somewhere. lost? lost means someone had it and it's not there anymore.

what is the correct wording to use in these instances? non delivered? non sent? didn't exist in the first place? lol i'm sceptical. the seller said before buying she always gets a certificate of postage. have to go through all the palava of paypal procedures and wait two months

at least the red shirt from last week has been delivered back to the seller..waiting for my refund now.

had a bargain delivered on monday, 2004 away shirt, brand new. fiver plus p+p.

the shirt that has not arrived was won two weeks ago. so if anyone sees a 1998-99 home shirt size 44-48 floating around, it's mine.

what are the odds of an explanation? chances of being run over on the way to postbox : 250/1 not posted at all 2/1
house caught fire and shirt got anhhialated - 300/1 dog chewed it up 50/1

come to think of it, this is the first time i havent had an ebay item delivered to me.. had an item not returned to the sender. and the tesco millarky.

oh, and i had a cheque for £11 for the items not returned to the seller. that £11 sounds like i had the refund for the items (cds) plus the return postage, so theres a tenner missing somewhere. have to write it off and move on and forget about it.

wish there was a way of proving it was received. too much of a coincidence for it to go missing during a paypal dispute.

they should have paypal stamps at post offices. maybe a sticker that confirms after a scan at p.o that it's in the system so people do not have to rely on recorded and muck about.
and here comes avi cohen! oh i say! at the same end, he's got one back!!

can't be more than A4 size @ 500/1

11/4 seller hasn't sent it... how many man hours are involved into investigating each package missing when it really hasn't been sent?

think i spend more time feckin about sending emails and paypal filling than RM plymouth do. compensation form arrives, info gets copied into database. package missing. customer services look at original postal location on a map, looks at my town, works out a route, draws breath through teeth, decides it's lost.

happy days

lolllllllllll get some dinner in, feel a bit better.

i think it is possible that it was a bit of a scam after all. looking at the sellers email, i'm thinking hmm.

shan't say cos i was kind of wrong in the first place, so nobody knew what was going on

i'll give the seller a day or two to reply to my email.. ah, heck to it, may as well stick my neck out.

bought it cheap... shirt hadn't arrived. emailed seller - no reply.. open dispute.. sent message to seller saying since the is undelivered, please refund...
seller refunds money... email arrives saying sorry i been away at work, i left the deliveries to my son, he sent the other items to other buyers, mine didn't have an address to send it to so it was left in the boot of the car...i shall do things myself next time. said she accesses ebay on her mobile and the reason why she didn't get my messages was the ebay mobile doesn't show messages.. i sent her messages to her normal email as well.

why was it in the boot of the car? address is always in the invoice.

i send a message back asking so you have the shirt. don't relist it in ebay, i'll buy it off you for the price i paid.

if i knew she still had the shirt, i would have said forget the paypal dispute, you send and i'll cancel the dispute.....

so far, no reply..

my instinct now is, that she was peeved that the shirt sold for a low price, didn't get enough money, concocted this my son didn't send it story, played the time, refunded me sharpishly so she can put it back in ebay hoping to get a higher price and avoid losing the dispute, complaint and receiving negative feedback. i can't do owt about it now.

dam i'm good at this... then again, it would be embarrassing if she replies ok send the money and i send you the shirt... so what does one do at a moment like that?

i don't think i can, because the money was refunded, the transaction cancelled so there be no way to get a feedback across now.

I ve bought way too much stuff (girlfriend calls in junk  ) over the past few years on Ebay and have found that if the person is 100% straight it normally goes ok first time. When there have been errors and problems with things going missing its normally when you win the item for a silly low bid or your the only bidder.
I once won a really nice old boxed ZX81 computer (more junk)for £1.99 but the seller said he dropped and broke it whist packing and thus refunded me  . It was back on one month later even with the same bloody pics starting at £30 :mad . I reported it to Ebay but it did no good he got away with it and sold it for £48.

LOL @ junk

had to read it twice then. i thought it said zx81 games dropped.. wouldnt break it if a game was dropped.. so that kind of thing been going on for ages. deary me. mind you. a fully workable zx81 with manual is worth a bit. not much that can be done with it but.... spend an hour or two typing in the data, goto commands. don't forget a comma ot it won't work lol.. after 3 hours of programming, press enter. you'd get a character resembling a space invader going across the screen lolllllllll

:Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy Yeah you been there too :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy

I did get one (well two in the end) and they are now both in the loft where my partner said the would end up, but what do girls know about boys toys :dance . Thing was when i was a very young teenager i had a friend ( we all had one of these) who got bought everything by his parents. One day our science teacher brought his own personal ZX81 to school and we were blown away with basic programing and printing our name down the screen.
Yes you can guess the next bit, Sure enough his folks went out and bought him one that very weekend, i was as green as a sprout, i used to go around his house after school to watch him use it as i was not allowed to touch, how bloody sad is that. So i bought one off the bay just to kinda re-live it. Total pants computer really but a nice piece of history to own :Very Happy .
