Early morning shift allowance

Post by fed_up_postie »

Hi all, i am a full time postie of 8 years and i have recently transfered from a delivery office to a mail centre, where i am still on delivery, since i moved office i have lost £6.18 a week early morning shift allowance, i was just wondering if i was still intitled to this shift allowance and RM have made a mistake or does everyone who works from a mail centre lose this money as well? Thanks in advance for your replies.

I have the similar problem in my office. I had a number of people made up from part time to full time and they lost the shift allowance. The muppets at Sheffield do seem to understand the difference between MTSF and grandfathers rights. I was told that because their guaranteed earnings had increased the payment had been stopped? FFS! Its now been dealt with by HQ. Did you move of your own free will or were you moved as part of an office review or repick?

I only get half of my early shift allowance aswell but I think thats because I was in Callers Office, 1 week early, 1 week late shift. Now I'm back on delivery due to suffering depression because of the callers job but still only get half early shift allowance even though I don't do a late shift anymore.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
