Sun Hats

Post by DB1100 »

I wonder who decided that the RM sun hat should be dark blue, have they ever tried wearing it for 4 hours in the hottest part of the day?,I am due to get some Solar keratoses removed from my head soon, and so need to take some proper sun protection why couldn't they have designed a white one to reflect some of the heat, and maybe one of our H & S people could take this up with the uniform design team (if there is one)
For we were soldiers once, and young

I am very light skinned and Royal Mail hats are no good to me, whatever the colour. I have to wear a foreign legion type thingy to cover the back of my neck and ears too. I have mixed feelings about this time of year! That said, at least I'll be getting around quick than last year though and will hopefully miss the worst of it.

It's an urban myth that white clothing reflects heat better than any other.

I use blue England cricket hat for work. It suit me. Downside you can't wear them when it is windy.

I love to buy a West Indies one but don't know where can I get one (to replace badge with Aston Villa one.

Have you tried ebay? If not, try looking on the WI cricket board ( or whatever there version of ECB is ) and see if they do merchandising on there.

If you don't mind wearing an England cricket hat then http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001 ... d_i=468294" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; wearing it in my area would involve me getting a kicking  :nervous
