A mate of mine who works for the local council was doing a bit of extra work yesterday walking around the area delivering polling cards. He told me that they were paying him 18p per card, not per house, but per card so when he delivered to some of the places with 10 cards he was going "ker-ching!" every time he posted one through the box.
He had about 4000 houses to deliver to as well.
18p FFS.
How much do we get ripped off on D2D's?

Yes, but we all know local authorities have more money than they know what to do with.Mr Blonde wrote:A mate of mine who works for the local council was doing a bit of extra work yesterday walking around the area delivering polling cards. Have you ever seen a council employee going home that looks as if they've done a proper days work ?

Re: 18p per item
on the subject of election material we get 5p per item but more important that not everyone knows unlike normal D2D which are delivered at a rate of 1 per letterbox, Election leaflets no matter which party (Excluding BNP ofcourse which we don't have to touch) should be delivered per doorbell ;
8 bells = 8 leaflets, this can add quite a bit extra to each round
