There is a national meeting set for the Thursday to discuss pay and the other issues like the ballots. The meeting will be held in London between Royal Mail senior managers and our national officers.

I understand a national breifing will be call next week to breif all Branchs of what the London ballots and other ballots are about basically defending the union and fighting for a national agreement. In additon it will disucss the pay issue. It is important Branch`s who are up for a fight either over pay or the future get up and make themselves heard at this meeting. In London we will be.

Same here too. He also mentioned that there was some talk of getting a "one off payment" instead?? Where he got this from i don't know. It's probably some bull***t he made up to make the bad news a little more palatable.

It is a great deal - for them - their bonus is linked to their pension, which the CMA negotiated last year - the CWU didn't and our bonus is just that, linked to nothing in particular.

I would vote to take action and stand by it, as always - but it isn't going to happen. There has been a total collapse in trust in the union - it's apparent on the shop floor - there won't be a ballot, it would be the death of the CWU - those on the bandwagon will of course defend their position - but there nothing changes.

By paying the bonus they re conceding that RM has made profit, which they need to do in order to justify their own bonus payments. Remember croziers wage is mostly made up of bonus payments. Its time this so called labour government sacked this greedy piece of s**t.

And don't forget if the parasites pull it off this year they'll be coming back with more and bigger pay cuts for the next ten years at least. They will say that these are essential due to the level of public sector debt ,but they will fail to mention that this debt arose because our political exploiters chose to give hundreds of billions to bankers and their shareholders in dividends and bonuses for f***ing up big time.
I get a warm glow inside just knowing that i'll be helping towards paying for the likes of that RBS flops £7million pension for years to come
