I think you'll find that most of us sweat even more now.
When I started it was on one delivery (this was before the single daily delivery) and finished by 09.45 and home by 10.00 and during the summer months I was dripping with sweat when I finished. Now I'm lucky to be home by 13.30 and still dripping and absolutely knackered as well.

At the beginning I needed to lose weight so yes i sweated a lot . My polo was soaked by the time i had finished .
Question is .......... Do you still sweat as much doing your walk as you did at the beginning ??
Believe me, if we get a proper summer this year (not like the last 2 years) we wont just be sweating, we will be dropping like flies cos of the summer lapsing and "falling mail volumes" weight, so id advise him to wear his trunks
God. Yes!!Especially delivering in flats, no matter what the season, the first thing I do when I get home is have a bath, to clean of all the sweat,in fact when you think about it, this job is dirty overall.
No I never sweat.
My hair is always clean and trim and so is my uniform infact I look like a movie star,I walk round waving to all my customers and answering all their inane stupid questions like is this the first or second post with a glint in my eye as I know they are only joking with me,basically the job is so easy that I wonder when they will put some more onto my walk as I`m so underworked that when I get home I think about going for a 10 mile run .Copyright the Courier may 2009.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.
This is a relief!I thought it was just me. Mind you, I bet nobody sweats as much as me! When my trousers dry out, I have a white line of salt halfway down to the knee. i used to think I lost weight easily (and put it on again) but I haven't lost a pound. I eat twice as much now, since becoming a posty.
