Hybrid duties

Post by mclovin »

Duties incorporating walks and collections.

I cant drive thank god so wont directly affect me. But they are talking about an office repick so the last full timers in will be forced into doing it.

How can they just force you to do it though, surely when you became a postie you didnt sign up to drive a van unless you took the van training, which those at the bottom have not, well about 50% havent. There'll be 2 duties so that 4 blokes.

We've got a few duties like this and have had for ages... and they're very cushy.

we don't have any of these yet, (fingers crossed) although in my experiance my colleagues (delivery staff) are used to making time and cannot accexpt that collections are time critical.
I have had many a conversation with lino's regarding arrival patterns of mail from collections and explained that we need to continue to feed the mail into the mail center in a steady manner, if we don't we run the risk of bottlenecking the M.C. and this would be a massive reduction in the level of service we provide to the M.C.
Confused... You won't be, after the next episode of. SOAP

Today the hingehead said he'd scrap plans for 2 hybrid duties if we collapse 3 walks.

The majority of us are sick to death now and feel like just telling them to get on with whatever they want, be it on their heads when it goes tits up.
