Local MP visiting our office

Post by pinstripe »

Heard today that our local MP, Michael Foster (Hastings and Rye) is visiting my DO on Thursday. He is one of the MP's that are publicly on our side and is supposedly going on a delivery to find out exactly how difficult our job is. Peter Mandelson was also invited but he isn't coming. Hope Mr Foster does come down and well done to our rep for organising it. Also hope it's a real heavy day which it should be, Thursdays are pretty bad and with the bank holiday on Friday, it should be mega! Luckily Pegasus came in last week and there are no easy rounds.
Sadly it's my day off on Thursday :Very Happy so I won't know till Saturday if he did come down, but I'll let you all know.

Local Zanu-Liebour MP used to visit my old office around xmas time... Pretty sure he 99.99% votes in line with what Blair and now Clown tells him.
'Dear chief secretary, I'm afraid to tell you there's no money left,' ( Liam Byrne MP )

Yup, that's where he's headed. Almost makes me wish I was working (but not quite), just to see the fawning and a*** licking. There are a few 'characters' waiting and management will have their hands full trying to keep them at arms length.
He'll need a couple of these fellas then :cool :cool
Seriously though, he supported us during the strikes, even attending an open air meeting (photographer in tow, he adds cynically), he is opposed to privatisation and the changes to the pension.
While it is good that he's doing this, it is a bit like preaching to the converted. What we need is for offices who's MP isn't with us to do something like this.
