Play dot com
We were told in our Parcelfarce WTL this morning that we have lost the play.com contract but no one knows why. Anyone on here shed any light on this?

Re: Play dot com
probably because we can't handle the size of parcels they send - I had two tiny pieces of kit delivered this week - a phone battery and a bluetooth headset - ordered together and delivered seperately in packages that could have each contained a large copy in hardback of Mrs Beatons Cookery book - WHAT A WASTE OF SPACE AND PACKAGING
We wish to serve - but we will not be servile

Re: Play dot com
Parcelforce and RM Letters are two different businesses but even if it means that all Play.com parcels are being sent by rivals then the majority will still end up in the RM system via DSA (just like Amazon did a couple of years ago).

I haven't seen any Play stuff for a while and we were told if we had anything on our vans at any time it should be returned to the depot because everything was being sent back to them. We also lost the National Lottery contract a few months ago.

Re: Play dot com
I've had several play.coms this week, including two today.
Just spilt stain-remover down my shirt. Now how do I get that out?

No-one told us!
We had the usual amont of Play.com items yesterday. I'll have to ask about it on Monday. See if I can find out anything about it.

Re: Play dot com
I think it's a Parcelforce contract as opposed to a RM contract.

Re: Play dot com
Phew! Thats a relief! They send quite a lot of small parcels through us, every day. If we lost that contract, it'd hit is hard, as it's all 1st Class.
