Easter holidays?

as a newb to RM
do we get bank holiday monday and good friday off?
funnily enough my working days are wed-sat so would i still be paid the statutary bank holiday payment?

defanetly get monday. don't get friday in Scotland but think you do in England although strangely think you work the saturday.

Correct

Good Friday - BH in England - if rostered day off you get it back
Easter Saturday - Normal working day
Easter Monday - BH in all of UK - if rostered day off you get it back.

We get the 2nd of January off, much better than good friday IMO, we need it to recover

I dinnae see how those north of the border can have a Bank Holiday. Bank of Scotland merged with the Halifax to form HBOS, which is now part of Lloyds Banking Group, which is owned by ... UK taxpayers. As is Royal Bank of Scotland.

No banks = no bank holidays, surely ?

I thought that if your holiday falls on a Bank Holiday,than you get those days credit.If your day off falls on a Bank Holiday than it is'nt credited?

If your shorter working week, day off falls on a bank holiday you're still entitled to a day in lieu.

If your rest day falls on a Bank Holiday, you are credited a day in lieu, the same as if you were on holiday.

i remember when we use to go in good fri for time and half and the managers would make certain you got out early so you still had most of the day of ,never had any trouble with people going of sick then although it was a 6 day week ,then sat finished buy 9 oclock home b4 the wife was up both days now lucky to finish sat on time by 13 00 with no breaks totally knackered having had a crap day with 2 days mail going home with the weekend ruined .ahh the good old days
