The idea is that they are covert so ones coming from a Postcom "spy" who records details of receipt etc will be impossible to stop. However, in our DO our Managers send them out hand written envelopes with a small card inside - easy to spot if you recognise your managers handwriting.

TBH why worry if you do the job right they can't catch you.

Why worry about test letters, they are just like any other letter we deliver.

Each office used to have 1 address which about 1 - 3 letters a week were send too. Due to recent cut backs it is now about 1 in every 3 offices which have test letters. A small community of people do it sending mail to each other and to firms and alot of big government departments send test mail out. It is very hard to spot them as they are just normal mail but have a 4 digit code somewhere inside. Anything can be a test letter. About 1 in 5 have a smart (tracker) in to see which office it last entered or exited out off. I wouldnt worry about them as Royal mail are not allowed to know which address take part but they are forced to fund it.

I applied for this,i got the bits but i didn't do it in the end.Didn't have the time.

What happens is you send out some letters each week or so ,from a post box and post office which this company is aware of by the box numbers you give them.

You get stamped envelopes and sticky labels with addresses on.

You're supposed to register on their website and update bits when you do them.
Use the link below, register and have a go.

Edit:Seems everybodys at it as they are not recruiting at the mo.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
