Unfair treatment
Am i being unfairly treated ? I have been on reserve as a AG i have just ended up on a job that as become vacant due to a new starter (or 6 monther )leaving the person who did the job i am now on as gone onto the leavers job instead of putting me on that job that the leaver was on, obviosly because its an easier job(favoritism) i feel this job is unfairly large the AG who who as gone off it as less service than me , who shall i raise this with any advice .

Re: Unfair treatment
When a duty becomes vacant it should be advertised for those interested - though you find that happening a lot less because managers like to play king tut and the union don't make them stick to the rules. Put a request in writing to fill the vacant duty.goldy wrote:Am i being unfairly treated ? Re: Unfair treatment
You can't just put someone on a duty and leave it at that,it does not matter how long they have been on the duty,if they're not supposed to be there and proper procedure has not been followed they can be knocked off.
Like dv has said, the job should of been advertised.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Management do not have to advertise a vacant duty for up to 6 months (The Way Forward),or if vacancies accounts for 5% of the duties in the office ,then they have to advertise.goldy wrote:dvbuk55 wrote:When a duty becomes vacant it should be advertised for those interested - though you find that happening a lot less because managers like to play king tut and the union don't make them stick to the rules. Re: Unfair treatment
Well I didn't actually say they HAVE to I said they SHOULD advertise for those interested, we should both know the difference, the reason being that some offices and I don't doubt mine is any different to many others have incumbents placed on duties "temporarily" to be still doing them 2 years later.roger wrote:Management do not have to advertise a vacant duty for up to 6 months (The Way Forward),or if vacancies accounts for 5% of the duties in the office ,then they have to advertise.goldy wrote:dvbuk55 wrote:When a duty becomes vacant it should be advertised for those interested - though you find that happening a lot less because managers like to play king tut and the union don't make them stick to the rules.
