We resigned in our office a week past tuesday(10th).Rural duty i signed for had 355 stops. I started training on it last friday and duty now has 415 stops. This is now taking nearly 6 hours to deliver.Union rep and DIM on leave till next week. Can anyone tell me where i stand on this and can they change it after i have signed?

JUST WORK YOUR HOURS, DO THE JOB PROPERLY,THEN SORT IT WHEN YOUR REP COMES BACK, THEY ARE DOING THIS IN OUR OFFICE, LOADING EXTRA WORK ON EVERY ROUND WHICH COMES AVAILABLE,watdeadlyone wrote:We resigned in our office a week past tuesday(10th).Rural duty i signed for had 355 stops. Just cut off and leave those bits theyve added on. You need to do this quickly or it will become a set thing and you will have a battle on your hands. As long as you don't get back before your time they can't touch you.
Was everyone who did it getting done early or something, because if you were, then they are really entitled to load extra onto the round, but this should have been done before the repick.

Re: Duty Resigns - What a Joke
Day cover told DIM that duty was just right but they took a bit that took 30 mins off and put on 2 bits that take a total of 1 1/2 hours on.What makes it worse is rep was helping him out and his round hasn`t really changed.Holiday cover described it after day 1 as a joke round

Our Rep went from a fixed round a small one to being a floater - so not all are in it just to get a better deal for themselves.janitor wrote:Think that's a bit unfair, our reps round has changed it's got even smaller.savo wrote:rep's round not changing...... now there is a familiar tale !!

To true our previous rep was brilliant did his best for his members, but jacked it in cos he got fed up with people going into doms office and doing deals for themselves.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Duty Resigns - What a Joke
Just because RM have taken executive action dosn't mean they can break local or national agreements, RM have gone threw the IR framework to get to the point of EA so if they are not having a resign in your office re the way forward agreement your rep should be sitting down with your manager and writing up a joint heads of disagreement and progressing threw the IR framework.

Re: Duty Resigns - What a Joke
The Way Forward says Resigns should take place if 33% of duties are affected by any major change. ie GeoRoute /Pegasus revisions.
If your members vote on it, it should be a given. I know they dont always see it that way but speak to your Area rep.
