watching now, seems the Tories will go with it but with amendments and MP L. Razzall has just said that the intensive lobbying by the CWU came in emails and not letters !!

MP L.Fowler of Sutton Coldfield is in no doubt that if 30% of RM is sold off , in the future the sell off will not end there. makes some good points against the Bill but then goes on to say he will support it. work that one out ??!!!.

MP L. Soley thinks that this can not be classed as Privatisation as the Government will still have a majority holding.

Bns Turner of Camden spoke against the Bill and said that modernisation does not mean that RM has to have private support for that to happen. however she did not say that she would vote against the Bill.

MP L. Lea of Crondall, makes a good point about a conflict of interest issue, how can TNT re-organise RM at the same time it is competing against it ?

L. Hoyle makes the point that full privatisation will follow. also that it costs more to post mail up to 3 times in Holland and Germany. in Denmark they are reversing the 30% privatisation that has taken place and in France they have put hold on privatisation. best speaker so far against the Bill.

I know what you mean I am listening to it and am loosing the will to live.

The Unite Lord though is pretty much in agreement with the CWU but did mention a workers committee member to be included.

back listening again, L. Stoddart of Swindon is against the Bill and is against privatisation in general. he says ask the people if they think privatisation has been a good thing with all the larger bills we all have to pay ?

Bns Morgan of Huyton is doing a good hatchet job on us- inefficient, strike happy, loss making, decline in mail volumes etc etc.

starting to piss me off really they keep going on about dropping mail volumes , emails etc. we know that,we are not saying that we dont need to change, maybe streamline even. there are many people out there who would be happy to leave with a nice handshake, the question is do we do this as a public company or do we do this as a private company -accepting worse pay and conditions as a workforce while linning the pockets of a few.
