He was on Sky News this morning (Sunday). He looked like he had been dragged through a hedge backwards. I have never seen a less dynamic Union boss. He looked resigned to losing this fight with Mandelson. The Lord of darkness must be rubbing his hands together if this is the competition in the fight for privatistaion.

Hayes mentioned that we, the workers, had paid into the pension plan but the government had not t and that's why we had this problem. But I had to turn the telly up to understand what he was saying. It was total and utter crap.

Where was the fight and passion we deserve??????????????? :mfo

Not sure what was the most laughable on the BBC this morning , scruffy witless Billy again - " We don't understand it " etc , etc ( he's desperate not to rock the boat with New Liebour ), Mandy's threats , stop this protest stuff or we'll lose the 2010 Election - privately New Liebour know they are doomed , or William Hague's ex PA , Amanda Platell ; who writes in The Express with no bra , t*ts taped up with toupee tape to keep her decent , short skirt , then the ever so serious look with the glasses , she's trying too hard , she looked if she'd been in a superannuated meat rack to 4 am or been auditioning for a daft MILF porn film .

Everytime I see Billy, Lord of the Pies on the telly I cringe, he never seems to put a case forward for us, no wonder the public think we are stuck in the 70's :mad
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Isnt he being lined up for a "safe" Labour seat somewhere ( if there are any left ) ..... though a monkey with a red rosette would still get elected in certain parts of UK.

I hope i,m wrong, but i fear that Mandelson/Campbell and the rest of the spinmeisters will make mincemeat out of the CWU in the media.

where is dave ward at the moment? he seems to have disappeared or is he involved with negotiations with royal mail ?.i think the resources of the cwu are exposed that we havent got a spokesman who knows the job.there is never any mention of the cuts that royal mail want to do now which in my opinion is a trump card ,as we get out later small and large businesses will be getting their goods and letters later and they have quite a voice when riled and could be important allies.

It would be funny if it wasn't so serious - he is the figure joe public sees - and when you hear the phrase "fat cats" - he had a job fitting his backside on the chair. He always looks and sounds bemused - the job is far too big for him. I still subscribe to the benefit of employing heads of negotiating and not electing them - that way they know the price of failure unlike the muppeteers.

Perhaps we are being a bit harsh about his shockingly poor presentation. Lets not forget the flip side of taking a bung is intimidation and threat , works even better if you combine the two :nervous

they certainly neutralized Johnson all right ? , people couldn't work what side Keggie was on , the irony is that is why Hayes got in .

If I remember rightly there was a certain Tony Blair QC who was quite supportive of the Doherty brothers being sacked in North London , everybody knew it stunk , Blair was quite happy to push for privatization of RM with Mandy to do the dirty work until Mandy got embroiled in a scandal :left: , but he was fearful of a back bench rebellion , I think New Labour had to settle for Air Traffic Control to be privatized instead, which of course New Labour made a right b***ocks of ; .

Dvbuk is spot on , people see Hayes and they just think jumped up 70's shop steward or tub thumper which is a red rag to a bull with some of Thatcher's children and /or the Colonel Blimps , a walking stereotype , RM must love it .

He's a liability. He looks as if he's just fallen out of The Crown in Lime Street at closing time. His associates should get hold of him and tell him he is doing the cause no good at all and get him to stand down.

second time i have watched a video of him saying "we have already lost our final salary pension"
nice of him to let everyone know that something that we were going to fight tooth and nail to retain has just been left by the wayside without a fight despite us having a ballot on it ages ago, thanks for nothing

as for the government if this goes ahead then it will be the end for them, i won't be voting for them again and i think it just might destroy the party
