Less mail?

Post by dunposting »

We've been officialy told that we are down on traffic as compared to last year. So we have to have savings.
Monday and Tuesday we are steady and ok mail is less.
But we are are over loaded Wednesday-Friday and duties are overloaded and some over time is booked?
So we we're were promised georoute in January and were still waiting because we've so many duties that are too long they won't addreess them.
Promises are broken that changes will happen and they never do it.
We've have dangers tarmac potholes in our yard and dispite health and safety being involving the holes have been there for three months.
How many issues in your office are being overlooked?

A year ago our average daily traffic was 38,000, it's now...................................38,000 but our manager has still told us that mail is down and that cuts have to be made (he got the usual response of get rid of the managers).

He is probably right because of the current climate...other businesses will be making the same approach by cost cutting, especially advertising. Even if you have less mail, and lets say you only have one letter at every door you will still be doing your 3.5hr delivery.

I have to admit that compared to last jan to this jan i expected alot more holiday catalogues but this was not the case...usually it takes around a week or two to clear the bulk of the cats but light bulbs have taken their place i guess. :cuppa
