Why high capacity trolleys?
Can anyone tell me why in my office, high capacity trolleys are being forced on us instead of bikes even though the duties cannot be done in the time when using a trolley? unless you abandonn the trolley around the corner from the office and run round! Why is our union rep pushing so hard for these stupid things and is there anything i can do to try and stop this farce? I've told my manager i dont want to go over my contracted hours (which i will if i use a trolley) so he said if i refuse he'll just start me later which messes up my day because i've got a second job to go to, i dont have my own duty and only have a 25hr contract so i accept a bit of overtime but this is too much!

Rock and a hard place really the effort is to get the weight off the shoulder and that is an aim of the union as well - so if it is policy use it - if you can't complete either book it or leave it - if you want the second job and can't keep RM job going.......................mike_uk wrote:Can anyone tell me why in my office, high capacity trolleys are being forced on us instead of bikes even though the duties cannot be done in the time when using a trolley? unless you abandonn the trolley around the corner from the office and run round!
