2 days for Sky mags

Is this the general rule?

We had a cover gaffer today who insisted they all must go today, we complained that it wasnt the usual course of action, she rang around other offices in the area who agreed that 2 days was ok, we got 2 days.

Always been 2 days in my gaff but I prefer to take them all in 1 day if I can as you never know how bad the next day is going to be it could be worse that what is in front of you on the 1st day.

If its a real banger though I do spread them over 2 days.

If we only had 2 days then we'd end up with 100 to 200 per day so in my office as long as they are completed before the end of the month (and more importantly without any OT).

We get two days for the Mailsort 3 ones but the Mailsort 2 have to be cleared the same day.

Spot the mail sort ones!!!!! They seem to come in second class now. In my case i try to get the lot out in 1 go. Makes it a good D2D day as well!!!!!

sky mags arent that bad imo, the worse you can come across are those garden magazines which had books in them at one point. basically equivalent to 70 packets; sky on the other hand seem to be making their magazines lighter and more compact

I'm glad to be on hols this week, as I have over 500 sky mags normally 2/3 or my round.

Ours came in on Monday,we asked if we could stream them over a couple of days,his answer was they all had to go,but anyone who had issues (weight on delivery etc) inform him and he would instruct you on what to do.

We got some last Saturday. Our section was told they MUST go the same day - after saying we wouldn't work overtime to clear them we took them to addresses where we already were going.

Other sections in the same office were told they could leave them til Monday.

Im glad you said sky mags are more ligter and compact!! I was thinking just that this morning.. . One of my worst nightmares are Saga mags!!

My round is mostly geriatrics. And this week the latest Saga magazine came out. Pissing heavy, and probably 3/4 of my 500 addresses subscribe. Bastards.

no im on delivery like yourself, but i just think sky mags are a bit over rated in terms of how bad people say they are. may be because in my current delivery walk i deliver the same points every day, but when i used to do other walks which would use a bag more i remember garden magazines etc being the devil

If sky mags come in as mailsort 3 you have up to the last day of the month to deliver them, i.e. march edition should be delivered no later than last working day in february. If they come press stream 2nd class they are due for delivery on that day.
