meanwhile in Tokyo...

Post by exbrighton »

...left Brighton a few years back, always miss the job, that fleece comes in handy.

A few observations on how they do it round these parts: no walkers, all k-trucks (under 600cc Suzukis) or Honda Cubs. Deliveries seem to finish about 8pm. Even on the weekend....
In my business, I have a daily collection from my home, talk about inefficent!! The guy brings a letter scale and plastic skip, kneels in my hallway and weighs each individual packet, fills out a huge form with the individual weights, eventually it's finished and I need to sign the receipt, and put my seal on the form. Lots of bowing!

Lots of rain too. It rains solidly for days around May/June.

So count yourselves lucky!

Moved to Blue Shirts.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

:Very Happy Just like Hong Kong spent 3 of the best years of my life there. Very friendly people and polite to a fault. It rains so hard in the Far East sometimes that there is no point in wearing a coat or having a brolly as the rain bounces so hard you get wet anyway.

I do don't worry. We are trying to stop it turning into just what you describe and I hope people can see that.
