Re: what is the official rule
D2D's should NOT be delivered in your own time, only within the time frame of your duty, that includes putting them together/prepping.

Re: what is the official rule
This keeps coming up so I think it's about time the union sent everybody a handy instruction card stating that D2Ds are to be done in RM time only and that it's 20% per day.

Just tell the t**t that you haven't got time to do them in your own time and therefore they won't get done.

I suppose it also depends what you mean by prepping.rowdogg wrote:thanks guys, just manager said prepping of d2d has to be done in own time. he'll argue black is white, hes one of those
As far as I know you are not supposed to, for instance, place one or more items inside another in order to effectively create a single item for the delivery point. If you wish to do this then I suppose because it's not allowed then that particular process should not be absorbed into your duty.
You should however be given sufficient time to place the items along side the mail either inside the frame slot or whichever other method suits your delivery style.

Politely ask him for his written instruction as conformation ,get it signed dated and witnessed . A reasonable request that no right thinking ,confident manager could refusecanolman wrote:He's a liar, take a grievance against him and watch the blood drain out of his face.rowdogg wrote:thanks guys, just manager said prepping of d2d has to be done in own time. he'll argue black is white, hes one of those

Original post deleted as it broke the rules:
If someone has a different position to you please respect their right to have differing views, and enjoy yourself when picking holes in their position in a constructive way. We would much rather have a long winded well thought out argument, picking out weak points in someone's position, than have a thread full of 1 line insults.
Please do not in any circumstances resort to name calling or behaviour that could be deemed as bullying or harassment.

Re: what is the official rule
lol that made me laugh. A bit strong. RM Managers can be very good at intimidating people, many are experts infact. Let's say they are the shitebags and this poor guy is looking for as stress-free day as possible. Having said that you are STUPID to come in early or stay late and work for these ungrateful scum for nothing. D2D IS PART OF YOUR DUTY. Just like doing your redirects and collecting your specials, IT'S DONE IN WORK TIME!!!! RM ARE NOT A CHARITY!! And even charity workers get paid a wage for their time!!!!fasterthanyou wrote:if you used your own break time you are an arsehole,m8 a coward,a shitebagmadelin4 wrote:Yes, ours is the same!!!
