Long service event

I got a letter today from Rob Jenson Area manager South London invitng a guest(THE MISSUS) and myself to a long service awards dinner on 16 june at the Hilton Hotel Tower Bridge London.IT starts with a drinks reception at 6.00pm,then a 3 course dinner with wine,followed by a disco,finishing at 12.30am.Drinks tokens will be provided,and overnight
accommodation is available(£149 PER PERSON).Its in recognition of employes with 20,30,40,50 years service(ive done 21).Has anybody else been invited if so ,i will see you there.

Then the big moment when you get up n try and be pleased that uve been knocking your bollox out for 20 + years in a picture with some numbty wank stain in a old school tie.... AND OLD HARRY RAMP SHUFFLES UP!!!! BURPS FARTS TELLS SCHOOL TIE TO FECK OFF AND HALF INCHES THE GEAR THEY PALM OUT FOR LONG SERVICE FROM THE TABLE.... NOW THATS A NIGHT I WOULDNT MISS FOR ££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££

A blinding idea Tommo ,and yes it would be hilarious ,but i really fancy it ,what a sad f**k i am.why? because like you said i may not get another invite so i must have a night out on royal mail ,i think i deserve it and also that could be around the time we are out on STRIKE so there will be lots to talk about between us posties and senior management,an opportunity to good to miss

Went to the do on saturday night with the Mrs and i must say Royal Mail South London management looked after us.There were about 70 posties from S/W-S/E London who done between 20-40 years service,and were treated to free drinks all night and a set 3 course meal with a disco untill 12.30am.We left about 1.30am with a bottle of champange in arm(There was a bingo game and the winning postie £2,000 HOLIDAY VOUCHERS)and went to our hotel just round the corner,i dont remember that bit as i was so smashed and was sick in my hotel room,shame but i dont drink much.A really great night was had by all,if any of you guys get anything like it, go along and enjoy WE ALL DESERVE IT.

Tommo mate found out today one of the managers from Nine Elms (Pat The Prat) fell down a flight of stairs and smashed his head open(OH DEAR)and one of the other managers wives had to give him first aid.
