Have noticed now if you phone in sick, you get a letter from your dom the same morning, asking to stay intouch, be at home if contact required etc.
Also, they seem to want to interview you about you being off after a few days, asking you to come in to work for a chat!
Harrassment or what?
Do you need to go, or can you refuse?

Re: On the sick
That really depends on the nature of the call. If it is to ask how you are, and whether there is any improvement, that type of thing. Then yes, it is a good thing. But many people get phone calls, insisting that they come into work for an interview, and/or asking when they will be coming back. That isn't the same type of thing. It all depends on what kind of person your Manager is.DOM wrote:Maybe your DOM is showing that he / she cares for your well being.shimmyrule wrote:Have noticed now if you phone in sick, you get a letter from your dom the same morning, asking to stay intouch, be at home if contact required etc.

Re: On the sick
What gets me is you have to go and see the DOM to explain your absence from work so you tell him,you get mithered off ATOS so you tell them again and then if they`ve still not managed to harrass you back into work you then have to go and explain yourself all over again to an Area Manger or he threatens to stop your pay.
Not exactly the we believe all absences are genuine is it?
