Can Managers use own private cars for Patrols ??
Can managers use their own private cars to check up on posties while they work. I remember our previous managers using RM vehicles to do van checks.
Can this be harrassment or intimidation of staff if he passes us while he is in own private car, he could have just finished work ?
Does business use cover spying or does he have to get a special licence from MI5 ?

Will members please post only 1 thread per question otherwise it gets untidy and hard to read. If you think your thread is important then leave a message on it asking for it to be made a sticky and I am sure the Mod team will assess your request.

Re: Can Managers patrol in own cars ?
It would be interesting to see what would happen if the manager had an accident, whether he was covered by RM insurance or running on his own insurance
and if he was covered then who does the checks on the car and do they all have to take the 'driving test' that all of us have to take.
Maybe one of the managers could answer those questions or we could always report them to the police and let them check the drivers details.

Would love to find out, because they was parked outside a postmans house, as they saw his car outside but never saw the postman himself. He had gone out of the back door to finish his delivery.

It's an infringement of your civil rights........... they did this once (no details) to me so i had appologies from higher up management and from the creep who thought it was 'the done thing' and have never been spied on again since. You have to say the right things but it does stop them in there tracks

Re: Can Managers patrol in own cars ?
Both managers where sat in a private car watching the postie's house when they saw his car outside, they didn't see him at all.
Am I right in saying that the bond that RM give to posties who use private vehicles does not cover RM managers especially if they also carry a passenger ?
