Did you notice Billy's trip to the USA on the back page of the voice recently?
I would be interested to know if the cost was from CWU funds.

Re: Union Junkets
Good post A lot of peole dont realise the length of day reps can have compared to a normal work day when on union buissness.
Perhaps national briefings could be rotated around the country so it's not the same people all the time having to spend half their day travelling.

A very good thought too...would save an absolute fortune in time and expenses....they were quick off the mark with CWU TV at £30K an episode....setting up such a facility would cost a fraction of that...parky wrote:As a union for communication workers why not save time and money by utilising modern communication methods such Video Telecom Conferencing... just a thought!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
