No.

You can work up to your time,if you dont want to do OT then you dont have to do it,my contract is for 40 hours per week, not 40.5 or 41
The more you know, the worse it gets.

the 30mins flex time can only be used once a week, however they must be exceptional circumstances for this being used and this time must be given back by the end of the week.Management are abusing this agreement you usually find this where their is no unit rep in the workplace. If this is happening in your office contact your area rep he or she should deal with this .

The national aggrement is presumably on the downloads section and you find the words around you query in it.

the circumstances are for unforseen high mail volumes, OMV breakdown and other unforseen stuff, as Andy points out the time has to be given back to you that week which means they cant make you flex on a saturday.

The 30 min flex is suppose to operate on common sense and a bit of give and take from both sides.

you don't have to do anything you don't want to or, if you feel, doesn't benefit you in some way.
Lets for one moment suppose you have argued with whoever it was, to do whatever it was that needed doing. Now lets suppose RM tell you your'e now going home 30 minutes later, this not only screws up all your plans but also ends up costing you another £150 for the privellage, does this seem fair ?
forget about all the who's and what's and why fors, do you think or believe that it is fair for RM to tell you (on the day) today your'e going home 30 mins later. Never mind their reasons for doing it, in all honesty who cares what reasons they have or there are.
As i tell those that have asked me, i'm going to ask you 2 questions these are simple questions with yes/no answers.
Are you avaliable ?
Do you want to do it ?
If you answer yes to both then do it
It is understandable you may be, or even feel pressured into it.
if you're not free then you can't do it, can you.
If you don't want to, don't give a reason, you are not required to give a reason. it is none of their business, and that's the bottom line.
You have made plans, it really is that simple you have made plans and are not avaliable.
Confused... You won't be, after the next episode of. SOAP
