new years day
just checking where i stand it was my day off new years day. this morning managers says he will only pay 8 hours even though it is supposed to be a long day 9 hours. also he informed me that i could not have aday off in lieu instead of money.thanks for any answers

IIRC you get either not both.
Either 8 hours pay irrespective of local arrangements (sorry) or 1 day in lieu.
